Peeplo stores user profile data (display name, age, country, description, and optional attributes such as appearance, habits, and preferences) on our own servers hosted in Germany (EU). This data is used to display your profile to other users of the app.
Account creation and sign-in are managed by our own authentication system. Supported sign-in methods include:
Authentication data (email address, display name) is used exclusively for account management and identification.
Peeplo accesses your location only while the app is in use ("When In Use" permission); it is never accessed when the app is closed. Your location is shown on the map to other people only through "Find Me" — an optional feature that you confirm each time you use it. Each Find Me is a fixed snapshot of that single moment and expires on its own; it does not follow you as you move, is never published in the background, and there are no automatic check-ins. While the app is open, your location may also be used to show you how far away nearby people and content are, which is visible only to you. You can keep using Peeplo even if you don't grant the location permission, and you can withdraw it at any time in the app's Settings.
Messages sent through the app are stored on our servers and transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS). You may delete your conversations at any time from within the app.
Profile images are stored on our servers. Images are automatically reviewed by an AI-based moderation system to ensure compliance with community guidelines. No human reviews your images unless a report is filed.
Peeplo uses Apple Push Notification service (APNs) to deliver push notifications for new messages and contact requests. Your device token is stored on our servers and used solely for this purpose. You may disable notifications at any time through your device settings.
We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to third parties. Peeplo does not use any advertising frameworks, analytics services, or tracking tools.
You may delete your account directly within the app at any time. Upon deletion, your profile, images, and published content are permanently removed from our servers. Chat messages you sent in conversations with other users may remain visible to them. Any residual data is fully purged within 90 days, except information we are required to retain by law (such as abuse reports).
Peeplo is intended for users aged 18 and older. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
